Da Couch

I've been looking for a couch for my room. More specifically I wanted a futon so Stess and guests have a place to sleep. I've been searching Craigslist and there's a lot available, but my biggest challange was having a rig that will get the futon here. Well, last weekend Dad solved that problem. I drove them to the airport which left me with their big truck for the week. So off to Craiglsit I searched. I found a futon for under $100 that was all wood and looked like it was in good condition. Here's what the fabric looks like.

Not the most beautiful fabric, but I didn't mind. It was in my price range and I could pick it up right away. When I got to the gal's house I was looking at the mattress to see how thick it is. When we unvelcroed the cover there was another color underneath. I happen to like this color a bit more than the cover already on the mattess so when I got it home I took it off and vaccumed the new color from all teh fuz balls and this is what it looks like now.

I like my futon, it's purple! And it's comfortable. I haven't slept on it yet, but I'll leave that honor to Stess when she comes up this next weekend. Yay I have furniture!

I'm Moving!

I spent this past weekend with some friends in South East Portland. Tim and Hannah have been married for 3+ years now. Hannah and I worked at Camp Tadmor together and we've kept in touch. She and her sister, Naomi, are the kind of people who you can always count on, the relationship always seems to pick up where you left off no matter how long it's been since you were last able to spend time together. Hannah and I have been trying to do things together since I've been back in Portland, not always successful, but we try. Anyway... we had coffee a few weeks ago and she invited me to go to church with them. That turned into an invitation to spend the night on Saturday and watch a movie Saturday afternoon. So, this last weekend I went over there. They bought a home a year ago and have decorated it beautifully! Well, after the movie in Salem and dinner with Stess, Hannah and I went back to their place and Tim came upstairs. Hannah then told me that she and Tim had a ques...

Just for fun

I'm looking through my pictures, trying to find a specific one, but I've run across these four pictures that I just want to post. No big reason other than it was a fun weekend. A while ago Stess came up to Ptown and we got to hang out with our "Brothers" Ryan and Kyle. Kyle didn't look at the camera, Ryan made a face, my camera didn't focus on Stess and I, and then the sky was just cool. So, for no real reason, enjoy!
