Four days off from work and snow outside. What am I going to do? Watch Alias of course! Oh my goodness! Did you see that!? Look out! There's someone behind you! Hmm, is Sloan really telling the truth this time?

Da Couch

I've been looking for a couch for my room. More specifically I wanted a futon so Stess and guests have a place to sleep. I've been searching Craigslist and there's a lot available, but my biggest challange was having a rig that will get the futon here. Well, last weekend Dad solved that problem. I drove them to the airport which left me with their big truck for the week. So off to Craiglsit I searched. I found a futon for under $100 that was all wood and looked like it was in good condition. Here's what the fabric looks like. Not the most beautiful fabric, but I didn't mind. It was in my price range and I could pick it up right away. When I got to the gal's house I was looking at the mattress to see how thick it is. When we unvelcroed the cover there was another color underneath. I happen to like this color a bit more than the cover already on the mattess so when I got it home I took it off and vaccumed the new color from all teh fuz balls and this is

Thursday top ten

So I know this is early but I have reason to write it today and not friday. Ten reasons I'm glad it's Thursday... 1. I have Friday and Monday off, so it's a 4 day weekend! 2. I got a couch this past weekend, so there's room to come visit me. 3. Stess' birthday is on Tuesday 4. I'll see my parents and Stess on Saturday when I pick them up from the airport 5. I get to go to the airport 6. I get to drive a big red diesel truck 7. I may go to the beach this weekend 8. Finally I'm reading "The Shack" and it's really good 9. I have peanut butter chocolate skinny cows at home 10. Thanks to Lani, I have "Alias" at home!

Peanut butter eggs and jell-o

Once again I find myself reading all my favorite blogs and bummed that there isn't anything new. And once again I figure the best way to get you all to write is to write something of my own. That and life is going on and there are a few random things I want to write about. Not of particular importance, but life I guess. This past weekend was very busy and crazy and wonderful! It started with getting off work early on Friday! I love it! Stacy picked me up and we went down south to Corvallis. We made it just in time for the Good Friday service at Faith. It was a good service, but I'll be honest, I got more out of just being with friends and family than anything else. (This wasn't due to any defficiency on anyone's part, just my lack of a spiritual focus...) Stess and I stayed in Lebanon Friday night as she and my parents were leaving for Denver on Saturday. Saturday I drove back up to Portland with my family and took them to the airport. They're headed to D

Computer Bugs

Several weeks ago Stacy and I watched "Enchanted". It was a fun movie that was great for us sarcastic people. The princess sings and all the cute animals come running to help her. Well, this princess gets stuck in New York City. When she sings for some cleaning help she doesn't get what she expected. Sewer rats, Pigeons, Flys and Cockroaches come swarming to "help" her. It's one of my favorite scenes cause it's SO WRONG! Well, I just had a call from a customer who had her pc sent in for repair. However, before she sent it to us she put the pc in her shed to store until we sent her a shipping label. Apparently she has cockroaches in her shed because when the service center opened up the pc to fix it, the pc's bugs came swarming out! Gross!

Friday Top 10

It's FRIDAY!!! So, in honor of that day and because I have the time, I figured I'd see if I can come up with 10 things that were good about this week. 1. I found a church! I know where I'm going to attend this weekend and I'm looking forward to it very much. 2. I've been on the senior line several times this week at work and I like it a lot! 3. Stess is coming tomorrow. 4. Stess and I get to have dinner with our "brothers" Ryan and Kyle... If they remember. 5. I was asked to consider becoming a Senior on my account at work. I said no because of the schedule, but I'm thrilled to know that they're considering me. 6. Stacy and I watched "August Rush" this week! 7. My cousin is engaged and I'm going to be a brides maid. 8. If I can find one, I'm getting a couch this weekend. 9. I got to ride my bike on Sunday. It was fun but man I was sore! 10. It's Friday!

Pearl Mosaic

WARNING: Long post ahead! I don't mind change, and in general moving isn't all that bad. What I don't like besides the obvous friends and family left behind, is having to find a new church. I hate church shopping. That being said, God has really blessed me in my church shopping experiences. When I was looking in Bend I attended one service at 1stB and walked out feeling like I had found a home. I had no desire to leave there, but I moved to Corvallis and so the search was on once again. Crista went to FCF, so it was logical that I try there. After one Sunday I didn't want to be at home there but felt like God was going to direct me there anyway. I'm SO glad He did! Now I find myself searching yet again for a "home". Portland has been extra tough for me because I grew up here and had an easy fall back church. That coupled with going to Corvallis every weekend for several months, holidays where I was with family, and just not knowing where to start
