LIFE

I haven't posted anything in a bit, so I thought I'd go ahead and give an update. Life has been busy, what with getting ready for Mongolia, going to Albany, Lebanon, Sisters, preparing for my cousin's wedding, going to wedding showers and weddings, and just living life!

Two weeks ago I was blessed to see Lydia get married! That was a great weekend. Last weekend Stess, Nicole, Ahryanna and I all went to Sisters. Didn't do much, just shopped and spent time oohing and ahing over an adorable little GIRL. I've decided I'm going to look for those plastic stick on earings for her. Purple isn't cutting it.

This weekend I'm going to Albany/Corvallis/Lebanon for a Mongolia fundraiser (An Evening for the Orphans), my Aunt's 50th birthday party, another Mongolia meeting, and another friends wedding on Sunday.

On the work front, I was in an associate trainer training class for two weeks. I just got my test back today and I got 100%! So now all I need to do is actually start training a class so someone can observe me and I can be a full fledged trainer. And to top it off, I can submit this now because they've put me on the senior line for the night!

All in all, life's good. (though Stacy is abandoning me for a whole week!)

Barn Party 2007

I had a great time tonight at the 3rd Annual Barn Party! For the first time I entered into the chili contest and the pie contest. I was quite surprised to actually win both! Of course, mine was the only fruit pie, but I was up against some tough competition with spicy chili. Especially since I don't really like chili, or spicy stuff. I had Crista taste it first, and then another friend. I actually didn't taste it until after Stess had put some in her bowl. Wow it was spicy! I do have a funny story to go along with my items. Pictures are worth a thousand words, unfortunately I don't have a picture of this, so you'll have to use your imagination. On the way to the party Stess had the crock pot of Chili sitting in a large cardboard box on her lap. In her hand was the pie in it's pie plate. We were driving her little Mustang and I was driving, trying to do so carefully so as not to spill the chili or dump the pie. We went up a small hill and realized that the chili wa...

Tids and Bits

Cebu? Really? That's the last time I blogged? Well, yeah, I guess it is. Well then... I think I'll just post pictures and let that catch me up on what's been going on with life :)

Mi Primera Fin de Semana en Espana - My first weekend in Spain

This was my first view from my hotel when I arrived on Friday afternoon:  After a short nap, MUCH needed but short because I did want to sleep later that night, this was the view that I woke to... The clouds had burned away and it was SO beautiful! There's a beautiful walkway along the ocean. People are always walking, running and biking along it. I discovered that, though I'd bought an adapter at home, it was not the correct one for Spain. So I headed out to explore and with one thing in mind. Stopping first at the reception desk, I exchanged some money and asked for directions to a location where I could purchase said adapter. Thankfully they had a map that they gave me and pointed out a store just up the street that would probably have what I was looking for. Before walking up the streets in search, I stopped to admire the view closer.  This statue is located right outside of the hotel. Here's a close up:   As I sat in this area I obviously l...
